The symbol on the right is an international standard to indicate the patient’s identification.
After the performance of a risk assessment, moveUP concluded that the use of the symbol on the right is more often used in the software industry for the purpose of user identification.
The symbol on the left is an international standard to indicate the date that information is entered or a medical procedure took place.
After the performance of a risk assessment, moveUP concluded that the use of this symbol can be confusing and not understood by the user (HCP or patient) and that it increases the risk of misinterpretation.
Instead of this symbol, we use the symbols and wordings on the right.
