I have an insurance with another provider than CZ

moveUP has made an agreement with CZ that the use of the moveUP app is equal to one session of physiotherapy a week. We don’t have such an agreement with other insurance companies. You can ask your insurance company if the use of moveUP for your rehabilitation can count as one ‘regular’ physiotherapy session. In this case the same rules as these physiotherapy sessions will count.

If your insurance doesn’t want to recognise moveUP, the price for the use of moveUP will be 45 euro a week. You need on average 8 weeks of rehabilitation after a hip surgery and 12 weeks after a knee surgery.

I only have a basic insurance

Physiotherapy is in principle not reimbursed by any basic insurance. You must have taken an additional health insurance to get your treatments reimbursed. With a knee or hip replacement, there is an exception. In this case, your physiotherapy will be reimbursed from the basic insurance from the 21st treatment onwards.

moveUP will charge you 45 euro a week for your rehabilitation with moveUP. This amount is not reimbursed by your insurance. On average the rehabilitation after hip surgery will take 8 weeks, after knee surgery 12 weeks.

The basic insurance reimburses necessary physiotherapy in the case of a hip or knee prosthesis from the 21st treatment. This means moveUP could be reimbursed at the rate of one physiotherapy session a week after your 21st treatment/ week of moveUP use, if your insurance would agree.

There is still the ‘own risk’. You have to pay the first 385 euros you receive from the basic insurance yourself. But that’s not just for physical therapy. That is usually also for medication use, hospital visits, surgery, etc. This “own risk” may be increased by 2021.

I have an additional insurance with CZ

In supplementary insurance, there is usually also a certain amount of sessions for physiotherapy a year included. The number of treatments in such supplementary insurance varies. From, for example, 9 treatments a year, up to 20 treatments and everything in between. Check your insurance website for more information on your plan.

If you have physiotherapy sessions on your balance, moveUP will declare one physiotherapy session a week to your insurance, if they agree to recognise moveUP. In this case you don’t have to pay anything to moveUP. There is no additional own risk or own contribution for the use of moveUP.

When your balance is finished moveUP will keep declaring one session a week to your insurance. Your insurance will charge you the amount of 45 euro/week until your 21st treatment. On average the rehabilitation after hip surgery will take 8 weeks, after knee surgery 12 weeks.

The basic insurance will take over from the 21st treatment week onward. If you have for example 6 treatments in your supplementary insurance, the first 6 treatments are reimbursed, then you first have to pay 14 treatments yourself before you receive a reimbursement from the basic insurance.
